The Tower Warden's Guided Tour Hospental
The mighty medieval tower towers over the uniquely beautiful village of Hospental and, together with the baroque Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, watches over the village and the entire Ursern Valley. The village of Hospental is considered to be the most intact in the canton of Uri and is almost free of the building sins of the last century. In a guided tour lasting about one and a half hours, the tower keeper of Hospental tells the history and stories about the secret capital of the valley.
Starting at the train station, past the Belle Epoque Hotel Meyerhof, along the St. Gotthard, into the upper part of the village with the tower and church, along the old Furkaweg back to the station. All this in the dark of night with hopefully a clear starry sky and glistening snow.
Clothing suitable for the weather
